About Me

My photo
I'm the kind of girl that tries to get off the see-saw as it's going up and having to hold on for dear life until its down again. I'm the kind of girl who day dreams and thinks of alternate realities that seem so close but are actuality just barely beyond our reach. I'm one who doesn't dream of making a difference, I'm already in the midst of making one.

A poem.

I haven't posted in a couple of days and I really don't know what to type about. I think I'm talking way too much about myself instead of the random ideas that pop into my head that people might actually find interesting. So here I am going to post a poem (actually lyrics) that I wrote about a year or so ago. Enjoy! P.S. please don't ask if I'm depressed because of this poem. I promise I'm not! I was in a band that was into lyrics like this.

Breaking Me

No one here can understand me.
You can’t possibly know my shame.
Love and lies blind me.
And who says I’m to blame?
Please don’t try to get on the other side.
I can’t stand your ideology
Placements in time pull us into the tide,
Into a close proximity

Chorus:
Can’t they see?
The more they push and push me,
The closer, closer I come to breaking.
Leave me be.
I don’t want you worries and concerns.
Can’t you see?
You’re breaking, breaking me.

I’m searching for something
I know I won’t find.
Tears stream down,
blinding my eyes.
Faster I spiral out of control,
A marionette for life.
Don’t follow my tracks,
I’m fine on my own.
My glass shoes are shattered,
my soles are bleeding,
but I walk this road alone.

Chorus:
Can’t they see?
The more they push and push me,
The closer, closer I come to breaking.
Leave me be.
I don’t want you worries and concerns.
Can’t you see?
You’re breaking, breaking me.

Slide, slide, slide.
Down the slippery slope I call life.
I’m falling, falling towards the sky.
Claustrophobic and in your sights.
Shoot me down,
I don’t care.
I’m already free.

Chorus:
Can’t they see?
The more they push and push me,
The closer, closer I come to breaking.
Leave me be.
I don’t want you worries and concerns.
Can’t you see?
You’re breaking, breaking me.
